Progress Tracking

Tutor Connecxion provides comprehensive progress tracking to help everyone understand how learning is progressing.

Overview

Progress is tracked through multiple dimensions:

  • Task scores — Individual assignment grades
  • Completion rates — How consistently tasks are finished
  • Session frequency — Regularity of tutoring
  • Score trends — Improvement over time

Dashboard Analytics

Each role sees a customized progress view on their dashboard.

Student Dashboard

Students see their own metrics:

The average score is displayed with a color indicator:

  • 🟢 Green — 70%+ (on track)
  • 🟡 Yellow — 50-69% (needs attention)
  • 🔴 Red — Below 50% (struggling)

Parent Dashboard

Parents see metrics for each linked child:

  • Individual task counts and scores
  • "Needs Attention" alerts for low scores or overdue tasks
  • Quick comparison across multiple children

Tutor Dashboard

Tutors see aggregate metrics across all students:

  • Total active students
  • Tasks pending review
  • Overall class average
  • Students needing attention

Tutor Connecxion tracks scores over time, allowing you to see:

  • Improvement — Scores trending upward
  • Consistency — Stable performance
  • Struggles — Scores declining

Viewing Trend Data

Students and parents:

  1. Navigate to Progress (or click the score on your dashboard)
  2. View the Score Trend chart
  3. Filter by date range (week, month, all time)
  4. Hover over points to see individual scores

Tutors see trend data when viewing individual student profiles.

Task Metrics

Completion Rate

Track what percentage of assigned tasks get completed:

Completion Rate = (Completed Tasks / Total Tasks) × 100

A high completion rate indicates good engagement and time management.

Overdue Tasks

Tasks past their due date are flagged:

  • Students see overdue tasks highlighted in red
  • Parents receive "Needs Attention" alerts
  • Tutors see overdue counts on student cards

Session Metrics

Session History

View a record of all tutoring sessions:

Click on a student to see:

  • Score summary — Average, high, low
  • Task list — All assigned tasks with scores
  • Session history — All past sessions
  • Activity log — Recent platform activity

Identifying At-Risk Students

Watch for these warning signs:
  • Scores declining over multiple tasks
  • High number of overdue tasks
  • Missed or cancelled sessions
  • Low platform activity (not logging in)

Taking Action

When you identify a struggling student:

  1. Reach out via message to check in
  2. Review task difficulty — are they too hard?
  3. Consider scheduling a catch-up session
  4. Communicate with parents if linked
