Learn how to set up your student account, join tutoring sessions, complete tasks, and track your progress on Tutor Connecxion.
Getting Started for Students
Welcome to Tutor Connecxion! This guide will walk you through everything you need to know as a student.
Setting Up Your Account
Your tutor may have already created an account for you. Check your email for an invitation link!
If You Received an Invitation
- Check your email for an invitation from Tutor Connecxion
- Click the invitation link to access the registration page
- Create your password and complete your profile
- Verify your email by clicking the link sent to your inbox
- Log in and you're ready to start learning!
If You're Registering Independently
- Go to Tutor Connecxion and click Sign Up
- Select Student as your account type
- Enter your email address and create a secure password
- Complete your profile information
- Verify your email address
- Your tutor can now add you to their student list
Understanding Your Dashboard
Once logged in, your dashboard shows everything you need at a glance:
| Section | What You'll See |

| Task Stats | Outstanding tasks, completed tasks, and your average score |
| Upcoming Sessions | Your next scheduled tutoring sessions |
| Recent Activity | Latest updates, scores, and messages |
Tip: Check your dashboard daily to stay on top of new tasks and upcoming sessions!
Joining Your First Session
When it's time for a tutoring session:
- Look for the session in your dashboard or calendar
- Click "Join" when the session is active (the button appears when your tutor starts the session)
- Allow camera and microphone access when prompted by your browser
- You're in! You'll see your tutor and the interactive whiteboard
Make sure you have a stable internet connection and a quiet space for the best session experience.
During a Session
- Video/Audio Controls — Mute/unmute yourself or turn your camera on/off
- Whiteboard — Draw, write, and collaborate with your tutor in real-time
- Chat — Send text messages if you need to communicate without speaking
Completing Tasks
Your tutor may assign tasks (homework) for you to complete between sessions.
Viewing Your Tasks
- Navigate to Tasks from the sidebar
- You'll see tabs for Outstanding and Completed tasks
- Each task shows its title, due date, and status
Submitting a Task
- Click on a task to view its details
- Complete the work as instructed
- Mark the task as complete when finished
- Your tutor will review and score your work
Understanding Your Scores
After your tutor reviews your work, you'll receive a score:
| Score Range | Meaning |
|---|---|
| 90-100% | Excellent work! |
| 70-89% | Good job, minor improvements needed |
| 50-69% | Satisfactory, review the feedback |
| Below 50% | Needs more practice |
Your average score is displayed on your dashboard. Track your progress over time to see your improvement!
