Learn how to view, complete, and submit tasks on Tutor Connecxion to keep up with your learning.
Completing Tasks
Tasks (homework) are assigned by your tutor to help you practice between sessions. Here's how to manage them effectively.
Viewing Your Tasks
Accessing the Tasks Page
- Click Tasks in the sidebar
- You'll see two tabs: Outstanding and Completed
- Outstanding shows tasks you need to finish
- Completed shows your finished work with scores
Understanding Task Cards
Each task card displays:

| Title | What the task is about |
| Description | Preview of the instructions |
| Due Date | When it needs to be done |
| Status | Outstanding, completed, or overdue |
| Score | Your grade (after tutor reviews) |
Task States
| State | What It Means |
|---|---|
| Outstanding | Waiting for you to complete |
| Overdue | Past the due date (highlighted in red) |
| Completed | You've marked it done |
| Scored | Your tutor has reviewed and graded it |
Working on a Task
Opening Task Details
- Click on any task card
- Full task details appear
- Read the complete description and instructions
- Note any specific requirements
Doing the Work
Tasks may require different types of work:
- Practice problems — Solve on paper or digitally
- Reading assignments — Read the specified material
- Writing tasks — Write essays or responses
- Preparation — Get ready for the next session
Tip: If you're unsure what a task requires, message your tutor for clarification before the due date.
Completing a Task
Marking as Complete
When you've finished the work:
- Open the task if not already open
- Click the Mark as Complete button
- Confirm that you've finished
- The task moves to your Completed tab
What Happens Next
- Your tutor receives a notification
- They'll review your work (in the next session or separately)
- They'll assign a score
- You'll see your score on the task card
After Completion
Viewing Your Scores
- Go to the Completed tab in Tasks
- Scored tasks show a percentage grade
- Click a task to see any feedback from your tutor
Understanding Scores
| Score | Meaning |
|---|---|
| 90-100% | 🟢 Excellent — You've mastered this! |
| 70-89% | 🟡 Good — Minor improvements possible |
| 50-69% | 🟠 Satisfactory — Review the topic |
| Below 50% | 🔴 Needs work — Ask for help |
Score Colors
Tasks are color-coded for quick scanning:
- Green — 70%+ (on track)
- Yellow — 50-69% (needs attention)
- Red — Below 50% (struggling)
Managing Your Tasks
Prioritization Tips
Best practices:
- Complete tasks before due dates
- Start with tasks due soonest
- Ask questions early if confused
- Don't wait until the last minute
Dealing with Overdue Tasks
If a task becomes overdue:
- Don't panic — you can still complete it
- Finish it as soon as possible
- Message your tutor if you need an extension
- Learn from it and plan better next time
Getting Help
If You're Stuck
- Re-read the task description carefully
- Check any related notes from your last session
- Message your tutor with specific questions
- Discuss it at the start of your next session
Requesting an Extension
If you can't complete a task on time:
- Message your tutor before the due date
- Explain why you need more time
- Suggest a new due date
- Your tutor may update the task
It's always better to communicate than to just let tasks go overdue.
Dashboard View
Your dashboard shows a quick summary:
- Outstanding Tasks — Total count waiting
- Completed Tasks — Total finished
- Average Score — Your overall average
Check your dashboard regularly to stay on top of your workload.
